I am seeing a real growth this year, in the recruitment of Performance Marketing jobs. I have observed many changes over the years as Digital Marketing Recruitment Specialist, in the Sussex and Brighton areas. Companies are investing in growth in this performance arena, delving into the funnel, driving customer acquisition through ppc and paid social.
To fulfil these companies goals I am seeing a requirement for ‘delivery skills in PPC and Paid Social’, and Shopping (if it’s an eComms brand) as well as performance analysis and optimisation and A/B testing, ideally suited to agency side job seeker looking to move in-house.
On the other side of the performance island I have been speaking to clients who require a more strategic viewpoint and a background in strategy, testing and working with external agencies to create and drive their performance goals.
In these cases I am seeing a wider need for SEO, CRO as well some 'web dev' knowledge.
Salaries for these skills set seem to differ too, of course this is often led by companies budgets, linked to their size and longer term goals.
